It is also crucial that you update your content on a regular basis so that it stays relevant. A good content strategy will also position you as a thought leader in your field.

  • Don’t buy links. Some companies offer to sell links to websites as a way to improve their search ranking. However, Google considers this to be a form of manipulation and can penalize websites that engage in this practice.
  • Do not use duplicate content. Google’s algorithms are designed to identify and de-rank websites that use duplicate content, so it’s important to make sure that all of the content on your website is unique and original.
